PDC
PDC will be broken down into two required groups that rehearse on Thursday evenings, age 5 and age 6 (as of 9/1/2025) to create smaller and more manageable groups. 1st year company dancers will only participate in the required large group. 2nd year company dancers will also have the opportunity to compete duets/trios/small groups. PDC competes at Starz competition which generally takes place the first week of May (May 1st-3rd 2026). All PDC dancers are required to perform in The Nutcracker and Recital. Dancers are required to take 1 Pre-Ballet II class and 1 Jazz/Hip Hop or Tap/Jazz Combo class per week for the entire 2025-2026 school year (August 18th, 2025-May 23rd, 2026).

Auditions:
All dancers must audition for company every year, this allows us to see current members next to prospective members and choose solos, duets, trios, small groups, etc. for the following year.
Fee: $20.00 per dancer (cash, check, or charge)
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your audition time to fill out the form, pin numbers and warm-up.
Location: Hinsdale Dance Academy- Studio H
Please note, it is our goal to provide as many opportunities as possible, however, if we do not feel like your dancer is ready for a company experience, they may not be accepted. In these instances, we will communicate what your dancer needs to do to prepare for these opportunities in the future.
